Easy-peasy treats just in time for holiday gifts!

Hi friends,
I'm hosting this week's challenge at Frosted Designs, and have we got some special treats for you! Plus, here's a little peek at the latest Lucky Girl Crafts kit - Famliy Traditions.
With the holidays knocking on our door, I thought it would be the perfect time for some treat-focused projects. The talented girls have all sorts of great projects to get your crafty mojo flowing.
Here's mine:

For my project, I altered a clean, recycled glass gravy jar into a perfect little gift giving container. I wrapped two layers of coordinating scalloped cardstock around the base of the jar, then topped with a strip of Bo Bunny Olivia paper. To hide the seam in the Bo Bunny paper, I cut out similar flowers from the scraps and popped them up using foam pop dots. I wound a length of 1-1/2" wide satin for the bow, tucking it under the large flower for a seamless transition.

For the lid, I traced the top of the lid onto the reverse side of the same Olivia paper (which can be seen on the reverse of the jar band when the jar is opened). I wrapped the side of the lid in satin ribbon that I pleated using dots of hot glue to hold down the pleats. Everything on this jar was adhered using hot glue.

Since this jar can't be washed, it will be filled with wrapped candy and small gift items for my kiddo's teachers. That way, they can reuse this container for treats of their own when they've gone through the goodies it will come with!

Enjoy this week's project inspiration and be sure to show us your take on this week's prompt!

Hello again!

Hello my long lost blogging buddies. I feel like it's been forever since I've posted. Crazy how that goes!

I've been so busy preparing for some upcoming classes & crops, including my second annual Santa's Workshop Crop and the release of the November Lucky Girl kit - "Family Traditions", which is being released for pre-order tomorrow!!!

For you Western Colorado girls, we have just three spots left for our Santa's Workshop Crop - e-mail me for a full class list & details, or click on this link here. It's a great opportunity to work on beautiful, affordable handmade gifts for your loved ones in a fun and friendly environment.

In the mean time, here are a few fun projects that I've been working on with some of my leftover pieces from the October Lucky Girl kit (now sold out!)

Patterned Paper: Bo Bunny // Cardstock, Thickers & Gel Pen: American Crafts

Look how little my handsome cowboy Andrew is!

Patterned Paper (Stripes, Monsters), Flowers: Bo Bunny // Cardstock, Patterned Paper (frames), Bling & Pearl Brads, Gel Pen, Thickers & Remarks letter stickers: American Crafts // Ribbon: May Arts

This picture is one of the main reasons I picked monster paper for the October kit. As much as we all love our kiddos, there are certainly days when they can all be little monsters!

Halloween 1989 - your weekly Frosted Designs challenge!

Patterned Papers: Pink Paislee, My Mind's Eye //Cardstock: Bazzill // Ink: Close To My Heart // Stickers: EK Success // Border Punch: Fiskars

This week's challenge at Frosted Designs is to create a fall or Halloween themed project and is hosted by one of my favorite Lucky Girls, Kim!

Lately I've been digging through boxes of photos from when I was a kid, so when I came across these pictures it was perfect! This picture was of me and my brothers more than twenty years ago. I'm 9 in this pic, my brother Jordan is only 4 and Justin is 7. It's so funny to think that now all of us have kiddos that fall within these ages.

Last day with the Boo Crew

Hi friends! I hope you've had a fabulous and crafty fall weekend {so far}!

Here's a little card that expresses how I feel about this kit *teehee*

Though you can't really tell in this pic, the blue mesh trim from Bo Bunny is sparkly - so pretty, and partnered with the black and blue damask patterned paper (which I backed with the teal blue reverse from the Whoo-ligans Stripe paper), it makes a perfect wedding card!
And here's a little altered gift box that's filled with special treats for my daughter's teacher:
