(Some of) My Wild & Crazy Family

In our family, wild & crazy are terms of endearment. My grandfather on my dad's side turned 90 in September and a lot of the kids and grandkids and great grandkids gathered in celebration. We stuffed ourselves on Greek food and chocolate cake, remembered the good ol' days and laughed harder than we've ever laughe

d before. All of the women in the family went to see Mama Mia - the sing along version. Being big fans of Abba, my aunts and step mom really got into it. Everyone was staning up and singing and dancing, including my 5-year-old daughter. I don't know what was more entertaining, the movie or my family. My sister-in-law was probably grateful that we were in the very last row. She was a good sport, though. And her cutie-patootie daughter was up there with the rest of it, boogying on down!

Here are a few of the layouts I created for that weekend.

The first is from my grandpa's birthday party. It's the Conclusion layout from the Imagine layout book by Jeaneatte Lynton. The flowers and ribbon are Oriental Trading Co. and the pearls and clippy is from Stampin' Up.

The second is from the get-together at my aunt & uncle's house after the party. The group pictures are of the grandkids & great grandkids, the whole group and the "outlaws" - not a bad term in our family, just those who are family by mariage. This layout was inspired by a Creating Keepsakes page sketch.

Papers for both layouts were Floral Tapestry from CTMH. No journaling yet, but it'll get there eventually.
